I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but I was a military brat and lived in my birth city only briefly. Graduating high school led to twenty-four years in the Army. Retiring from the Army in Florida, I spent ten years doing database development, mostly for defense contractors, until my wife and I decided we needed to live somewhere with more than one season and decamped to north Georgia, where I am thoroughly retired.
My interests are history (mostly nineteenth and twentieth centuries), spy fiction, military fiction, science fiction, and alternate history. I spend a lot of my time in “wiki-world,” where, among other sites, I manage the S. M. Stirling and Emberverse wikis.
Trimback is my first effort to see publication. If I have a literary niche, it is fan fiction; I can not imagine myself inventing a plot from scratch. I am working on another, longer story from the Emberverse.
